Seek advice from an Aviation Medical Examiner with knowledge on getting pilot certified and/or re-certified after a medical issue. There are many doctors out there so always get a second and preferably a third opinion.

Please consider that this is a very sensitive issue, especially lately with the German Wings disaster. The FAA has been very thorough with mental illness issues in the past and I would suspect that they would be more so lately.
